Originally from Liverpool, England , Ed immigrated to Canada in 1965. Educated in England and Canada he holds postgraduate degrees in Chemistry and Public Administration. The natural environment and fauna have always been a specific interest. Fostered by a range of outdoor activities this strong affection has been sustained by extensive travels throughout Canada and many parts of the world. These travels have provided considerable material for artwork. Early sketching of portraits and wildlife progressed to some painting with oils and acrylics but currently the focus is on watercolour. Initially motivated by the works of English watercolour painters, the skills of many are studied as an aid to developing self taught techniques. Now retired, membership of the BAC has provided a venue and focus for artwork.
