Gail Hankin
Gail was born into a police family, and grew up in various parts of central Ontario, particularly Bracebridge. As a child, her greatest contentment came from drawing. She was educated at the University of Western Ontario in the sciences, and went on to establish a career in policing, with emphasis on forensic work. She retired from her career, and immediately pursued her early interest in art, which had never disappeared.
Her aim is to try to convey the beauty of the natural world with landscape painting, but is developing an interest in portraits as well. She usually works in oils or graphite pencil.
She currently lives in Barrie.
